An Sanctoir is nestled within the scenic West Cork countryside and set within a 30 acre nature reserve outside the coastal village of Ballydehob. The land offers woodland, rivers and meadows. It is a place of stunning wild beauty with scenic views of Mount Gabriel and the surrounding countryside, providing the perfect setting for a relaxed, informal and elegant wedding.
Our 97 m² beautiful light-filled octagonal room is the heart of An Sanctoir. It is a truly unique and intimate space which can be the setting for your ceremony and/or reception party. It can hold up to 80 people seated or 120 standing in the building with the option of a larger marquee outside depending on the size of your wedding party. Several beautiful areas provide romantic locations for an outdoor ceremony and the grounds outside the centre offer space for marquees, catering and an outdoor fire.
We will happily assist you in the planning of your wedding and provide a list of suppliers for everything you may need including tables, chairs, marquees, caterers as well as details of local accommodation. The option of camping is also available on the land.
An Sanctoir has Public Liability cover and is insured to host up to 250 people on the land. This would not cover claims made against the wedding organizers of the wedding, and you are advised to take out your own wedding insurance to cover anyone that you are employing for the wedding, eg caterers.
