2 day-workshop with Guillermo Rozenthuler

at An Sanctoir, Ballydehob
Songs from Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Pacific Islands -and the occasional groovy Gospel tune- will offer the chance to share the bliss of group singing while developing a new understanding of rhythm and harmony.
The beginning of the workshop will be designed to help our bodies become more ‘available’. Combining simple yoga stretches, gentle movement, self-massage and rhythm work, we’ll use the voice as a tool for awareness, energetic transformation, release and physical well-being.
The creative use of sound, breath and the whole body as an instrument may lead to collective grooves and inspire some group improvisation. We’ll learn soothing chants, vibrant harmony songs and some foot-tapping music from different corners of the planet.
Born in Buenos Aires and based in the UK since 2000, vocalist and workshop leader Guillermo Rozenthuler has been sharing his passion for music and facilitating group singing in community choirs, schools and the corporate environment for more than 15 years. His approach combines musical precision
with light-heartedness and fun!

Sunday 27th February : Guillermo has a gig in De Barra’s (Doors 9pm; entry €5). All course attendees welcome and we will perform songs we have learnt.
