The practice;
Amerta movement is a free-form movement practice. It can be helpful for anyone (beginners or experienced practitioners) interested in movement, as a practice for awareness, personal development, self-expression, creation, healing, art, ritual, performance etc.

City/country, human/nature, living art in living home, culture, community and communication
Venues;
The workshop will travel between city and countryside, to give a taste Ireland’s sense of human and natural landscape. The first part of the workshop will be in the beautiful old building of UCC School of Music, Cork city. The lovely room catches the summer sun all day and looks out over the city and River Lee. From the 1st we will work at An Sanctoir, Ballydehob in the rugged wilds of West Cork. This light-filled octagonal building is surrounded by a nature reserve and 2 miles from the village. Through this we experience how Prapto’s work is informed in part by culture and environment.

Suprapto Suryadarmo (Prapto)
Prapto is a very dedicated and gifted teacher. He is respected worldwide for his unique, sensitive and insightful way of guiding and teaching.
“Since 1970, Suprapto Suryodarmo has been interested in movement by studying Vipassana and Javanese meditation techniques. He has been developing all techniques by focusing them in a relationship between movement with all aspects of nature, temple and human field. In 1974, Suprapto was initiated in Buddhism. His closer approach with religiosity and performing art was the “Wayang Buddha”, which has brought him to be known as a young challenging choreographer in Indonesia. In 1986, he founded his private school “Padepokan Lemah Putih” in Northern of Solo. The main idea of his movement work is developing the way to become less identified body in the art happenings through movement. He identifies his movement as “Amerta Movement”. Suprapto Suryodarmo has been teaching in Indonesia, Europe, USA, Australia and the Philippines for over 20 years. ” website www.lemahputih.com
