Gypsy Bellydance Fusion dance Workshop

In this one day workshop we will be learning simple forms and technique, grace and beauty of oriental dance (bellydance) and steps and movements, inspired from dances of the gypsy peoples the world. We will explore expression and energy and how to bring more of ourselves into our dance. Bringing together these different styles we will learn a short choreography.
Great music from India to the Balkans and Europe will be our backdrop to a fun and energetic workshop!
No previous experience is necessary, all welcome.

Bella Hancock began learning Bellydance in 2000 with Dee Cotter. She started by learning Tribal Style bellydance, a form inspired by Middle eastern folk dances, Flamenco and Indian dance. In 2004 Bella became a member of performance troupe Akasha. Since 2006 she has studied Bellydance and Egyptian dance with teachers such as Myriam Szabo, Leila Haddad, Beatrice Grognard, Karine Butchart, Wendy Marlatt and teachers of the Raqs Sharqi society, UK. She has attended workshops og gypsy dances with Myriam Szabo, Monica Roncon, Carolina Fonseca and Lena Jaan. She teaches regular classes in West Cork.
