Practising Shamanism in daily life
The “Call to Power” gives us the opportunity to deepen our relationship with spirit through the practice of the shamanic journey and enables us to discover our own spiritual power and wisdom.
After having been on courses, we can sometimes find it difficult to continue the practice alone. Many people find it helpful to meet with other people who are also learning, exploring and practising shamanism. Here we can enjoy working together, supporting each other, and celebrating.
In this group we create a sacred space in which we literally do 'Call to Power’, calling for the presence of spirit using voice, rattle, drum, and or movement. We become the hollow bone so that we are ready to become power–full (spirit filled).
From this place we begin the shamanic journey, where we move our awareness to an altered state of consciousness. Here we gain knowledge from our tutelary spirits, bringing to the fore enlightenment in our personal life , healing for ourselves, others and or our environment.
Shamanism is a body of techniques that have been used by humans since before the beginning of recorded history. It is the oldest spiritual healing method known to man and traverses the entire globe.
The Call to Power group provides:
- 1. A supportive place to practise core shamanic journeying. (Core Shamanism is the use of Shamanic methods not bound to any specific culture or perspective),
2. A consistent, regular structure for practice
3. An increasing in shamanic knowledge by sharing with each other and
through direct revelation from the spirits.
4. A strengthening of participants’ connections to their helping spirits
through practice.
5. Healing for individuals and for the community.
It is harder to build a sense of trust and community when membership is constantly changing. There fore ,we welcome new members to join the group on the following dates:
Friday evening, 7-9pm.
5th Feb, 26th Feb, 19th Mar, 23rd Apr, 14th May, 18th Jun.
Cost €10 (all profits go to An Sanctoir)
The only pre-requisite is that you have experience in journeying .All levels of experience are welcome.
We look forward to sitting in circle with you, where we all are equal distance from the fire and each other.
