Oki
do yoga is a union of many disciplines including Indian
Yoga, Chinese Taoism, Oriental Medicine and Japanese
Zen.
It includes a great variety of exercises and natural
movement with a flowing relationship to the traditional
asanas. It mobilises, purifies, strengthens and balances.
Oki-do practices include asana, zen therapy exercises,
meridian stretches, sound, shiatsu and meditation.
Being mindful and wholehearted is the focus of all
the classes.
All levels of flexibility and experience are welcome.
Oki-do Yoga is inspired by the life and teachings of
Dr Masahiro Oki (1919-85). Dr Oki devoted his life
to others through his work as a teacher, healer and
writer.

Betty O'Toole
Betty commenced studying Oki do yoga
in 1989, beginning her teacher training one year later
under the guidance of Mizue Tamaki (director of Oki
do Holland). During the course of her studies
she has also studied under the guidance of John Hulshof
of Oki do Italy.
Betty has been teaching Oki do yoga classes since 1996
in Ballydehob and around Ireland. She has run courses
for the I.C.A and has also worked within the V.E.C
network.
Betty draws on experience from many disciplines: she
is a qualified shiatsu instuctor as well as having
